When I was 28 years old, I had an emotional and spiritual breakdown.

Like many of us, I was searching for happiness, and didn't know which way to go. My journey took a transformative turn when I discovered Nichiren Buddhism. Engaging in this practice exposed me to foundational concepts that anchored and empowered my journey. My exploration led me into the realm of Eastern philosophy, unraveling the intricate connection between the body, mind, and soul in the pursuit of happiness and health.

 

Delving into the healing potential of food and herbs, I uncovered natural remedies that helped me alleviate my struggles with depression and anxiety.

The profound impact of naturally healing my body sparked a deep curiosity within me. Fueled by this inquisitiveness, I pursued and obtained certifications in Integrative Nutrition and Herbalism. This educational journey not only fortified my personal well-being but equipped me with the knowledge to help others embark on their own paths toward holistic health and happiness.

My spiritual evolution took an unexpected turn during a journey to Mexico. What initially began as a leisurely trip evolved into a profound pilgrimage of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.  During my time in Mexico, I was able to make sense of my innate sensitivity to people's energies. A teacher discovered me, and it was under her guidance that I embraced my suppressed gift of energy healing. It was an eye-opening revelation: my heightened sensitivity was not a peculiarity to be dismissed, but rather the very tool that would define my journey as a healer.

In 2020, I decided to use all the modalities I learned to open a holistic health practice. I chose to name it Tula, the Sanskrit word for balance. I firmly believe that happiness is not in pursing perfection, but in the discovery and nurturing of inner balance.
