2 Week Menu Plan for a Healthy Gut

Depression and anxiety are diseases that are usually associated with a chemical imbalance in the brain. What most people don't realize is that about 90 percent of our feel good hormones - the ones that regulate our moods and promote well-being, are found within the gut.

Within the past decade, scientists are discovering how vital gut health is to our overall health. When we consume a diet rich in probiotics foods, we create a thriving microbiome that contributes to a strong immune system. However, an imbalance, or dysbiosis, can contribute to depression and anxiety, along with diseases inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer, eczema, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia. However, research shows that a diet high in probiotics can have positive effects on your mood, and decrease your chances of developing autoimmune diseases.

This menu planner was created to help you create meals that will harness the power of probiotics. As an added bonus they can also help reduce inflammation, contribute to a healthy heart, improve brain function and enhance your mood.
