I think I have a pretty amazing work day. I have an easy commute, I am able to work independently and more importantly, I have the fortune of working with amazing clients. Although I center the sessions around the client, I always remain open to receive whatever guidance and insight is revealed, for my own personal growth. In yesterday's session a phrase that my client used was “comfortable despair.” That phrase reverberated in my head and sat in my heart the whole day. To live life with comfortable despair is what most of us do. We accept situations that don't serve us. We interact with people who are
not invested in our happiness. We tell ourselves to be comfortable with certain expectations when all it does is leave us unhappy.
I encourage you today to look at ways that you have been living with “comfortable despair” . Think about how you can change that situation. Take action to move past that roadblock and trust that any small step in the right direction, is a leap towards your happiness.
Although I aim to have my practice reflect religious ambiguity, I wanted to share this video entitled, How to Stop Attracting Toxic and Negative People into Your Life- The Real Secret to Happiness by Reverend Ike. It is a lighthearted yet poignant conversation about creating happiness.
