What is Chakra Healing & How Does it Help with Women's Health?

Updated: Oct 12, 2021

The human body is made up of more than we can see. There is a host of activity occurring at the microscopic level and an invisible activity that happens around us referred to as energy. Energy is something that we feel, like when we walk into a room and we can sense that something is wrong. Interacting with people who have a negative energy leaves us drained, while people who have a positive energy puts us at ease. Indian tradition views the energy system within our body as the chakra system. Chakras are energy vessels that flow within our bodies, starting from our tailbone, to the area above our heads. There are 7 chakra centers and each one is associated with a particular organ as well as emotional and psychological qualities. These energy centers work in tandem with our physical body, hormones, emotions and nerves. When all of the chakras are all allowed to flow their energy freely, the physical body feels grounded and peaceful. However, if there is a blockage in a chakra, then we are susceptible to diseases and ailments.

The lower 4 chakras: the heart, breasts, stomach, reproductive organs and the hips - are closely associated with the organs and emotions in women's health: For each chakra, I provided common ailments that occur when the chakra is blocked, and ways to open up the chakra for healing and health.
